Earthwise vinyl windows are an excellent value, combining high quality materials and construction with low prices. They are an ENERGY STAR manufacturing partner, being set at the highest energy standards. Along with being energy efficient, Earthwise products are made with sunshield technology so they will not weather over time. They come with the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval and carry a limited lifetime warranty and will not need replacement due to old age. Insulated Glass Units (IGU’s)
Insulated glass windows are double paned windows that have two “sandwiched” panes of glass with an air tight seal in the middle that varies in thickness from 3/8” to 1”. The insulated glass can come either tempered (safety glass) or annealed. Tempered glass is heat treated thorough a special process making it 4 to 5 times stronger than annealed glass. There is also the choice of regular clear glass. Low-E treated glass or argon gas filled. Argon gas filled and Low-E is energy efficient glass that can save you money on heating and cooling. Overall, that makes four total choices to choose from: annealed, Low-E annealed, tempered (safety glass), Low-E Tempered (safety glass). These all take about 5 days once ordered.
These Insulated glass units (IGUs) can also have grids which are vertical and/or horizontal, flat and/or contoured. Grids can also vary in color depending on the color of the customer’s window.
You can bring in your Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) or sash so we can measure it and then order the proper size glass (takes about 5 days once ordered). We can even set up an appointment to come out and measure your window unit and then return to install it after it arrives at our shop. We do ask for half down when ordering any insulated glass unit.
Storm Windows
We make and repair storm windows or can order them through our vendors. We can also just fix/replace the material that is in the storm window if it is broken or has become faded. We can replace the material in the window with either Plexiglas, Lexan or glass which is 1/8” thick that we have in-stock or we can order it to size. If done in-house this usually takes 2-3 days depending on workload.
Basement Windows
Basement windows use 1/16” clear glass. We have it in stock which means quick turn-around time. Basement windows can also be an insulated glass unit (IGU) or a vinyl window. Call or stop in to our showroom to discuss your options!
